Laura Ponce


Laura Patricia Ponce Calderón is a Ph.D. student in Science in Ecology and Sustainable Development, specializing in Studies of Society, Spaces, and Cultures at the San Cristóbal Unit. She earned her Doctor of Science degree with a thesis titled: “Cultural Knowledge on the use and management of fire and its socioecological impact in the Lagunas de Montebello National Park.”

Laura’s research addresses critical environmental issues, contributing significantly to our understanding of fire management and its implications in ecological settings.
