Professor and Researcher
Dr. Graciela Herrera Zamarrón is a Senior Researcher A specializing in natural resources, with a focus on mathematical and computational modeling.
She has been recognized for her excellence with awards such as the Gabino Barreda Medal from UNAM and the “John F. Kennedy” Award from the University of Vermont. Dr. Zamarrón’s doctorate, completed at the University of Vermont in 1998, focused on the cost-effective design of groundwater quality sampling networks.
She also holds two master’s degrees, one in Mathematics from the University of Vermont and another in Mathematical and Computational Modeling of Geophysical Systems from UNAM. Her expertise is in the optimal design of groundwater monitoring networks and data assimilation.
