Dr. Aldo Iván Ramírez Orozco

Professor and Researcher

Dr. Aldo Iván Ramírez Orozco, an esteemed Civil Engineer, holds a Master’s degree in Hydraulic Engineering and a Ph.D. in Hydrology. His illustrious career spans over three decades, marked by varied roles in the Government of Michoacán, the Mexican Institute for Water Technology, and the Water Research Center in Queretaro. As an academic, Dr. Ramirez has enriched the educational landscape with over 30 years of teaching experience at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including continuing education programs.

His mentorship has guided 26 master’s and four doctoral students to completion, and he has authored five books, twelve book chapters, and edited three technical works. Dr. Ramirez’s scholarly contributions are further evidenced by his 102 publications in refereed journals and presentations at national and international conferences, totaling 51 invited lectures. Currently, he serves as a professor in the Department of Sustainable Technologies and Civil Engineering at Tecnológico de Monterrey, collaborating with the Strategic Focus Group on Water Science and Technology and the Water Center for Latin America and the Caribbean.
