Clara Medina
Senior Undergraduate Environmental Engineering Student
Clara Medina is currently a 4th year Environmental Engineering undergraduate student attending the University of California, Merced as a UC LEADS scholar.
Clara is an undergraduate researcher working alongside both Dr. Colleen Naughton in the Food-Energy-Water Systems for the Underserved (FEWS-US) lab and Dr. JosuĂ© MedellĂn-Azuara in the Water Systems Management Lab (WSML). Some projects she is currently working on include the COVIDPoops19 wastewater-based epidemiology monitoring project for SARS-CoV-2, coordinating for the Alianza UCMX project, along with supporting the ongoing California Drought Analysis research with the WSML.
Previous projects include collaborations with the Global Water Pathogens Project W-SPHERE team and a coastal climate and groundwater systems analysis in collaboration with Dr. Morgan Levy and the Scripps Institution of Oceanography at UC San Diego.
